Cleynce

Cleynce is an Australian cleaning marketplace that connects property owners with verified cleaning businesses. Customers post residential, commercial, or tender jobs, while businesses discover relevant local leads through subscription credits or pay-per-lead access, unlock opportunities, send quotes, chat in real time, and manage payments through Stripe — all supported by a centralized admin platform.

Cleynce

Full Description

Cleynce is a multi-sided SaaS marketplace built for the Australian cleaning industry. It connects property owners who need cleaning services with cleaning businesses looking for qualified local work. Customers can discover cleaning businesses through a directory, post structured residential, commercial, or tender jobs, receive quotes from relevant businesses, communicate through real-time chat, track jobs, manage invoices, submit reviews, and raise disputes or support issues. Cleaning businesses can discover location-relevant jobs, unlock leads through subscription credits or pay-per-lead access, access tender opportunities based on their plan, submit quotes, communicate with customers, manage active jobs, connect Stripe for invoice payments, and monitor their earnings and ROI. The platform also includes a complete administrative layer for managing users, businesses, plans, subscriptions, lead pricing, compliance, disputes, content, analytics, and platform operations. Cleynce is delivered as a multi-application architecture with separate customer, business, and admin experiences powered by a centralized Express and MongoDB backend. Stripe Billing handles business subscriptions and lead payments, while Stripe Connect enables businesses to receive online invoice payments from customers. Socket.IO provides real-time communication, AWS S3 handles file storage, and scheduled cron jobs automate maintenance workflows such as expiring overdue fixed-schedule jobs.

Problem

Finding and hiring cleaning businesses is fragmented. Property owners often search through directories, social media, referrals, or generic marketplaces without a consistent way to describe their requirements, compare quotes, verify providers, or manage the job after hiring. Cleaning businesses face a different problem. They often rely on expensive advertising, generic directories, word-of-mouth, or unqualified enquiries. They need better control over lead quality, geographic relevance, and marketing spend. Existing generic marketplaces rarely account for cleaning-specific workflows such as residential versus commercial versus tender jobs, Australian business verification, local service areas, compliance requirements, subscription-based lead access, and pay-per-lead models. Without a platform like Cleynce: - Customers cannot easily describe jobs consistently or compare quotes in one place. - Businesses cannot efficiently manage lead access, subscriptions, quotes, and customer communication. - Marketplace operators lack centralized tools for managing pricing, users, compliance, disputes, and content.

Solution

Cleynce provides a structured end-to-end marketplace workflow: Post a job → match relevant local businesses → unlock the lead → send a quote → chat with the customer → win the job → complete the work → invoice → review or resolve disputes. The customer side provides structured job posting, business discovery, quote comparison, real-time communication, job tracking, invoices, reviews, and dispute workflows. The business side provides location-aware lead discovery, subscription credits, pay-per-lead access, tender access controls, quoting, active job management, earnings and ROI reporting, subscription billing, and Stripe Connect integration for receiving customer invoice payments. The platform side provides centralized administration for pricing plans, Stripe synchronization, subscription management, compliance review, customer and business management, CMS content, support, analytics, and audit operations.

Architecture

Multi-tenant, multi-application architecture: one shared Express and MongoDB API acts as the single source of truth for jobs, users, billing, and platform rules, while separate Next.js frontends own distinct customer, business marketing, business operations, and administrative experiences. The customer application handles public discovery and customer job workflows. The business marketing website focuses on provider acquisition and registration. The business dashboard provides daily operational tools for leads, quotes, jobs, billing, compliance, and communication. The admin dashboard provides centralized platform control and management. All frontend applications communicate with the centralized backend API through REST APIs and authenticated requests. Stripe Billing handles business subscriptions and lead payments, while Stripe Connect enables connected businesses to receive customer invoice payments. Socket.IO provides real-time communication across customer and business dashboards. AWS S3 stores uploaded media and compliance documents, while scheduled cron jobs handle automated maintenance workflows such as fixed-schedule job expiry and subscription-related tasks.

Challenges & Solutions

Coordinating multiple independently deployed applications against one evolving API required careful consistency across authentication, authorization, data contracts, notifications, and billing workflows. Location-aware matching required geocoding job locations and maintaining structured geographic data to match jobs with relevant businesses based on service areas and travel radius without over-filtering potential opportunities. Supporting multiple billing models — recurring subscription credits, unlimited plans, tender access, and one-time pay-per-lead charges — required carefully separating subscription permissions, lead limits, and access-control logic. Stripe integration also required handling platform billing and Stripe Connect workflows separately, including subscription payments, customer invoice payments, webhook processing, and connected-account events. The system also needed to support fixed and flexible job schedules while preventing invalid past dates and automatically expiring fixed-schedule jobs that remained unaccepted after their requested time.
